Date Night Update

I think we should do the date night thing more often!!! The sitter came around 6 and it was kind of hard for me to leave her in my house with someone I didn't know well.. as usual I was worrying.. regardless we left and we tried to go to this new restaurant and boy was it crowded!! we didn't even get a parking spot! It was really hot and muggy and we didnt think a lot of people would be eating dinner so early.. wrong!!! it seemed like whole of Elk Grove area people were there to eat!! lol! we decided to skip that go to a movie first and then eat. We get on time for the movie and ofcourse my dh has to get popcorn loaded with butter.. I mean I felt like my arteries were clogging with every bite! I couldnt eat a lot but I enjoyed watching a movie with my dh alone!! We watched Pirates of carribean II, I think I liked the first one better. The story here seemed to be really choppy but Johnny Depp is really hot, so it more than made up for the lack of a good plot.

After the movie, we went back to the same restaurant and after waiting 15 mins we were seated. The food was good and the service was okay.. I was getting worried about my dd and when the pizza arrived we just had to pack it up and take it back as I wanted to get home to her.. I went home and ofcourse all was well and she slept one hour earlier than she does with us!!! regardless I really had a good time and we should do this atleast monthly once or twice! baby sitter charges us $5 per hour.. I wonder if thats the normal charge..

Date Night

me and clay are going on our first date night since we had our baby * wohoo* nothing fancy just dinner and a movie probably pirates of the caribbean. I am a little nervous leaving my daughter with Hilary (daughter of my baby sitter) but I've heard good things about her from other parents. We need to get out occasionally and I am really looking forward to it!! Hopefully I don't drive my dh crazy by worrying about my daughter.. I wonder if every mom goes through this.....

To Laugh or Not...

Everyday daddy drops Maya off to baby sitter and mommy picks her up, she used to cry a little everyday when we put her in her carseat as she hated being confined.. she is finally getting used to this routine..
I bring maya home from baby sitter yesterday and try to put her on her tummy so that she can get some tummy time and learn to roll over as we've been doing it everyday last week. She lies there for a while and is playing so we decide to sit on the couch and relax with a cuppa joe and talk about our work day.. she kept looking at us and smiling and we were waving and smiling at her, encouraging her tummy time...as soon as we turned away from her she starts screaming as though something is really hurting her, me and my dh jumped and ran to her side to see what was up and as soon as we picked her up she was all smiles!! darn kid! I can almost hear her say "You guys are relaxing and leaving me on the floor to do all the work?? hell no! pay attention to me! "

Yeah... she has us jumping to her every command... :-D, sometimes she is crying and smiling at the same time.. LOL! needless to say my evenings are extremely busy. I have to say even though sometimes she drives me crazy, she keeps me going and brightens my days!!

Sadly, I barely get time to stamp and make cards.. *sigh* I hope to get some time to stamp tomorrow. Here she is getting some tummy time

New Catalog..

When the new catalog came out July 1st I was so excited! I had booked my first workshop on the same day so I could get my hands on the new catty... my dh thought I was crazy! LOL! My demonstrator came to my place and we had a good workshop and the turnout was pretty good. I was able to get Measure of Life hostess stamp set! Yippeee!!!! I love how versatile that set it!

If you know me I have a thing for background stamps and also flower themed stamps! I was trying so hard to find the retired paisley that when stampin up came up with this new paisley I was beyond thrilled!! I already made couple cards using this set, I'll share those pictures later on. With the new catalog some good sets retired, I was sad to see ageless adornment and terrific tulips go! Here are couple simple designs using those sets, please bear in mind that I am still a novice stamper!. I have been stamping since Jan 2006 and took couple months off stamping in Feb - Apr as I had my baby girl and she needed 100% of my attention :-D

My baby girl

4.5 months ago I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl ! I honestly got to say I got lucked out in the labor process and had a good delivery.. yay to drugs!! EPIDURAL ROCKS BABY!!! LOL! I can't believe how some women agree to do this naturally.. more power to them! I am so not one of them.
She was born on Feb 27th, 2 days after my birthday!!! and weighed 7 lbs and 3.6 oz. The moment I had her in my arms, she opened her beautiful eyes and looked at me and I felt as though she was saying to me "Mom! I am here!!! Look at me!" At that moment, I forgot my long months of pregnancy and all the pain I went through to get to see her. My dh was almost in tears seeing her and when he held her in his arms looking at her with such love.. I couldn't hold back my tears any longer.. lol! the floodgates opened..

The last 4 1/2 months have been a learning experience for both of us, my dd is such a happy baby.. she slept through most of the nights since she was 3 weeks old. Here is a picture of her when she was born
